Who We Are
After a volunteer trip to Israel that changed our lives, we recognized the immense need in our beloved country.
We are six women from Teaneck, New Jersey. Friends, mothers, grandmothers, wives, business owners and professionals. We are a melting pot of the Jewish nation from Morocco, Canada, Belgium, France, Mexico, Israel, and even the Congo. On October 7th, our lives were shaken to its core. We felt helpless being so far from our brothers and sisters in Israel.
As one of us was about to celebrate a milestone birthday, we said what better way to make it meaningful, than to travel to Eretz Israel and give a helping hand We were going to help lift spirits and volunteer where needed. We were “Friends on a Mission”. Little did we know that the people of Israel would lift OUR spirits and inspire US!
It was very difficult to leave Israel in the midst of war. But after our experiences and witnessing the horrors of October 7th, we came back with fire in our hearts and a commitment to continue what we had started on our trip.
“Mission of the Day” was born. A project where we help the people firsthand. No middlemen. Army gear, meals, daycares, temporary lodging and beyond. We even bought a transportable “shul/tent” equipped with lighting for the army unit we visited.
